Cimarron High School partook in their first annual Civic Engagement: “Bluejay Day” on Wednesday, March 20. While the Forensics team hosted their league meet at home, the students of CHS started off the morning packing food for Numana. The students helped pack over 20,000 meals to be sent to countries in need in the course of an hour! Next, students went around the community doing different tasks for members of the community. Some of the tasks included cleaning out school buses and suburbans, cleaning at the Over 50 Center, cleaning at the City Library, and touching up the “Welcome to Bluejay Country” mural at the football field. This was a great opportunity to get the students out and help support the community that supports them! It was definitely a great day to be a Bluejay!
