The Junior High’s artist of the month is Aysha Kemp. She had two different drawings, and they were a chicken and a frog. Aysha used different but somewhat the same methods for her drawings. She used hatching, cross-hatching, and stippling. She really didn’t see an inspiration behind her pictures at first, but as she started to draw and more details were added, she found a meaning. Although she was scared of how it was going to turn out, she was pleased to find out it turned out how she planned. She chose to do cool colors on the frog because frogs remind her of a rainforest and its cool colors. Aysha’s chicken was a bit more valuable to her because it was more of her own work, and she really didn’t get help on it. Aysha describes her pieces as being very detailed, bright, and time-consuming!
