Cimarron High School has always been about traditions, but this year isn’t like any other. Instead of sticking with old traditions, why not make some new ones? The newest tradition introduced to the school is the spirit stick. The spirit stick will be passed around the whole school year between classes. The first class to receive the spirit stick were the seniors. The seniors were given the spirit stick after Cimarron’s Journalism class came up with a scavenger hunt to find the football team’s hammer. Apparently, the seniors didn’t know how the spirit stick works, because the spirit stick was found on the ground at the homecoming game. Whatever happens, don’t let the spirit stick touch the ground. If the spirit stick falls or touches the ground, it brings bad luck and the spirit is lost. What class will next claim the spirit stick as their own?
